Hot Cocoa Mix

Ahh, winter.  The Christmas candy is hardly out of the stores and now it’s Valentine’s EVERYTHING.  Would you really want to buy Valentine’s candy for someone in early January?  Firstly, it would just be hanging out for a month.  Secondly, it would NEVER be hanging out for a month because I’d eat it long before then. 😉

But let’s not think about faraway candy right now.  Let’s think about the present moment.  And in the present moment I am cold!  ⛄

I’m about as layered as you can get, which is really no surprise for me because I get cold in the middle of the summer.  There may or may not also be a heating pad nearby like I’m an old lady or something.  Not saying. 😄

Well, last post I brought you white hot chocolate mix, which is perfect for warming you up inside and out.  But what about those who don’t like white chocolate?

How about some rich, chocolatey hot cocoa mix instead?  Now no one is left behind!  Warm drinks for all!!

This is a Martha Stewart recipe.  And of course Martha wouldn’t let us down, right?  It’s rich, indulgent, and oh, so satisfying.

Now we just need to crack out the homemade marshmallows!  😋

I seriously can’t believe that all of the Valentine’s Day stuff came out on January 1st. Couldn’t stores wait at least another week?! Anyways, it’s full on winter here in Chicago, so I love warming up with hot chocolate. This homemade mix looks perfect!

I need a cup of cocoa right now! It’s a chilly 1 degree outside….and then there’s the wind chill on top of that. Time to cozy up by the fire with a mug of hot cocoa!

Oh my gosh. One degree! Crazy. I feel your pain. Thanks, Kathy!

I want to swirl this cocoa with the white chocolate cocoa and then sit on my couch under a blanket all snuggled with my dog and relax! Is that too much to ask??? 🙂

That sounds absolutely PERFECT right now! Thanks so much!

Hot chocolate and the while variety are both my jam and totally the best way to warm up in this cold weather!

Hahaha! I am with you – there’s no way the candy would last in my cupboard for a month! It’s best I wait! In the meantime – I’ll take care of my chocolate craving with this awesome cocoa!!

Yep. It would last about a day with me. Haha. Thanks, Annie!
