Ahh, winter. The Christmas candy is hardly out of the stores and now it’s Valentine’s EVERYTHING. Would you really want to buy Valentine’s candy for someone in early January? Firstly, it would just be hanging out for a month. Secondly, it would NEVER be hanging out for a month because I’d eat it long before then. 😉
But let’s not think about faraway candy right now. Let’s think about the present moment. And in the present moment I am cold! ⛄
I’m about as layered as you can get, which is really no surprise for me because I get cold in the middle of the summer. There may or may not also be a heating pad nearby like I’m an old lady or something. Not saying. 😄
Well, last post I brought you white hot chocolate mix, which is perfect for warming you up inside and out. But what about those who don’t like white chocolate?
How about some rich, chocolatey hot cocoa mix instead? Now no one is left behind! Warm drinks for all!!
This is a Martha Stewart recipe. And of course Martha wouldn’t let us down, right? It’s rich, indulgent, and oh, so satisfying.
Now we just need to crack out the homemade marshmallows! 😋
- 3½ cups sugar
- 2¼ cups cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- Milk, for serving
- Mix sugar, cocoa powder, and salt together. Store in an airtight container.
- To make a mug of hot cocoa, add 2 tbsp of mix to hot milk and stir.
