Coffee Smoothie

coffee smoothie I am digging this cooler weather.  Ahh, 74. T hat's just about right in the summer for me, thank you very much. It's Saturday!  Anyone have any big weekend plans?  Maybe go out for a nice, log walk.  Catch up with your favorite novel, perhaps?  Maybe figure out what's wrong with the fridge?  Or just binge-watch Stranger Things? Well, whatever the weekend has in store for you, one thing is always certain: you are going to require the coffees! Ahh, coffee.  I love fitting it into my diet any which way I can get it.  Into brownies?  Sure!  Into ice cream?  Why not?  Poured quickly straight into my mouth?  ALWAYS!  😋 coffee smoothie And if you're looking for new and delicious ways to consume coffee, here's one for you.  It's coffee in a smoothie! This is perfect for both a hurried or lazy morning.  It has banana, coffee, PEANUT BUTTER, YA'LL, and cocoa powder.  And personally I love the texture from the frozen banana.  And if you want to add a few cubes of ice or freeze some coffee ice cubes and stick them in there, I wouldn't blame you!  If you like the texture of frozen hot chocolate, you'll like this.  It's great on its own before a morning run, or why not have it with a piece of toast and go really crazy?  Double peanut butter! Personally the way I like this smoothie best is by doubling the recipe and getting as much coffee in my system as possible. 🎉😀.  Just kidding!  Except maybe not really. 😉 coffee smoothie (From a coffee smoothie recipe on Prevention)

Coffee Smoothie
 
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup cold coffee
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and pulse until combined.

    It’s not too cool here yet, as it’s been SO humid! But I am loving the cooler mornings and getting ready for fall. This smoothie looks SO good, Amanda! Coffee in smoothie form is genius. I have a feeling I would be making this ALL the time!

    This has all my happy ingredients in it. I’ve never had a coffee smoothie with PB before, and now I know I have to try it!

    We binge watched stranger things a few weeks ago! My husband loved it. I thought it was okay, I loved the 80’s feel but the story line wasn’t really my jam. Different strokes for different folks, right!? Anyways, I NEED a few of these coffee smoothies right about now!!! Mondays require ALL the caffeine possible. 😉 Cheers, girlie!
